How to increase your PageRank – is the question that’s on the mind of many good SEO boys and girls.

So, how can we increase the PageRank of our site? There are many approaches to doing this. I will talk about my favorites here in this post.

One of the most effective ways of increasing your PageRank is to leave comments in quality dofollow blogs with good PageRank. What makes blogs great is that you can leave comments on any page.

Here I am going to share with you how to actually find dofollow blogs. I can almost picture how some people reading this post ask themselves what in the world “dofollow” means. What is dofollow? Usually by default all the links in the comments in most blogs are closed with the rel=”nofollow” attribute so the PR doesn’t get transferred.

There is a Dofollow movement in the blogging world consisting of hundreds of blogs, that is against the nofollow idea. Owners of these blogs install the Dofollow plugin on their blog which removes the nofollow from the comments, letting the PR transfer. These blogs are called dofollow blogs. Using the comments in dofollow blogs you can raise our PageRank significantly and for free (yes, we all want that). I do not advise to spam many comments in these blogs. Their owners usually are very strict when moderating the comments section. Also, many Dofollow bloggers are in love with turning you in by complaining to Google (yes, you got it, it’s still called snitching).

Although your site shouldn’t get banned because of these sorts of complaints, it will most definitely fall into one of the Google’s filters. As we all know, Google has many different filters just for us:) In many cases when your site is being filtered, only a very experienced professional can detect it. If this happened, you can visit millions and forums asking why your site isn’t rising in the search results when you are doing everything by the book. I am not writing this to scare some people, but sharing my own experience from the past. One of my sites fell under the filter since I was posting like a madman when I first found out about dofollow blogs and started commenting in them. Don’t be greedy and post 1-4 comments per day, hold yourself and pace yourself. Make sure your comments are relevant and polite.

Some smart SEO boys are using the following unique idea. When they get some free time, they look for quality dofollow blogs with decent or even zero PageRank and choose the most relevant ones to their own site (being promoted). Then they find pages on these blogs with the least amount of outgoing links (since the less amount of those equals to the higher PageRank weight transfer per link). They read articles on other pages as well but rarely leave comments there as well. A few quality comments will reward with greater effect than many spammy ones.

It’s not crucial to only look for pages with high PageRank. Even ifthe PageRank of a page is zero, it doesn’t mean this site can get to a much higher PageRank in the near future. All you have to do is learn to distinguish these sites from others.

I am going to write about some dofollow blogs I know and go in a bit of a detail about working with them.

I normally comment in the form of discussion of the post, expressing my thoughts, ideas, and wishes. No matter what, I will not place links in the text of the comment – this will most likely get your comment deleted (which equals wasted time). It works just fine to enter your site address in the given box when leaving a comment. As you know by now, when your comment appears your name actually will be a link on which people can click and go to your site. I use my name in the name field not any keyword or a keyword phrase (this is a very common mistake for the new-coming Internet warriors). Comment itself has to feel natural. It’s a good idea to write several pages, not something like “Great post! Thanks for this information, I will come back every day from now on!”.

Ok, it’s time to get to the meat and potatoes of this post. Get your forks and knives out.

So, the best way to find high PageRank dofollow blogs is the program called Fast Blog Finder. Download the free demo version here.

The full version costs $49, but there is also a free demo version with limited functions. The main limitation – is the maximum result of 50 blogs. I think it’s possible to work effectively with the demo version as well. You can check out screenshots here.

It’s easy to work with this program – all you have to do is enter the search request that you need and choose the needed blog from the results list. You can comment on those blogs right from within the interface of the program.

I have an idea of a similar project and maybe with larger potential for the future. There are probably some programmers reading this blog, that can create a similar software. Please share your ideas in the comments section:)

We could also find dofollow blogs using special search engines. Almost all of them are based on Google, and only find dofollow blogs. Similar to the program mentioned above, the search needs to be done via keywords, since it’s important to find the dofollow blogs that are actually relevant to your site.

Below are few dofollow search engines:

Do-Follow.blogpost.com

EzBusinessNeeds.com/dofollow.php

BackLinkSpot.com

CommentHunt.com

Also, there are dofollow directories like this one:

DoFollowBlogs.com

Here are some more good dofollow blogs:

DewKnight.com/do-follow

CourtneyTuttle.com/blogs-that-follow

I would like to note that many webmasters already know about these blogs. This means, in order to find a less known blogs, I do the following…

Open the Google page and enter this: MyKeyword “Remember my personal information” “Notify me of follow-up comments”. Instead of “MyKeyword” use your keyword, like SEO, or Cool Guy, or whatever else your blog is about:)

Since I am in a great mood today, I would like to top this post off with some sweet stuff (yes, another little secret). Many blogs out there have this little picture, or a logo: This picture symbolizes that the blog belongs to the Dofollow movement. You can find many dofollow blogs using the Google image search, by just entering these combinations:

“I Follow”

“U Comment”

“U Comment I Follow”

“I Follow U Comment”

Besides, you can also always watch out for these images on the blogs you visit. You also can search for the names of these images using the Google image search directly:

ifolloworange.gif

ifollowblue.gif

ifollowwhite.gif

ifollow.png

ifollow.jpg

ucomment.png

ucommentifollow.jpg

or search for something like this:

inurl:ucomment

inurl:ifollow

and so on…

Thank you for finishing this long read, and Good Luck with your PageRank hunting!

  1. Thanks for sharing this useful info.

  2. You are welcome!

  3. Is posting on dofollow blogs classed as a blackhat seo techique? Or will you avoid penalty just by keeping it to a minimum?

  4. In order to get a penalty you will need to go overboard (I am talking tens of thousand comments a day with your link). If you are doing it by hand, you either have to be very fast typist or have many friends. Good luck.

  5. You are welcome. Good luck and come back again!
