Gain Page Rank – Black Hat SEO Method

“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” – Dale Carnegie.

Hi everyone and thank you for visiting this blog. The goal here is to share the information that is current and applicable today, tomorrow, and maybe even next week if you are persistent. The video at the end of this post shows a guy, probably in his basement, beating the drums. However, arguably he is doing it better than the person in the actual band. It’s also important to notice that the person in the band probably started out in his garage or a basement with set of drums and sticks as well.

What I am getting at here is that there is no such thing as impossible. Keep at it, and before you know it you will be on the next level. My hope is, via this blog, to arrive at the notion of critical thinking. Thinking outside of the box, outside of the bun, or outside of anything else that frames us up. We have to let our minds run free, without stops made up by someone else. Ok, enough talking, let’s get to the meat grinder of this post.

Today we are going to talk about something special and cool. Everyone wants to gain Page Rank, it’s a universal wish of many people owning at least one website. There is a way to gain PageRank on the autopilot. Let’s take a closer look at this son of a gun and see how it’s done.

This method shows a way of getting juicy links from highly trusted sources for free and forever (yeah, I like that too!). This method removes a need of placing spam comments in the high PageRank blogs and links in the profiles on the high trust forums. This is almost white hat seo, well, not quite.

Sometimes, browsing through the high Page Rank resources, often we can see the domains of the software companies. Most of the time those are the open source organizations. For example, we all know or at least heard of the Opera, Linux, Fedora, Mozilla, and so on.

Let’s for example look at http://www.opera.com/ – registration 1999, excellent history, Page Rank is 9. If you are Google, this is the site you love and treat well.

When we see a site like this, we think to ourselves – wouldn’t this be great to get a link from this site… However, there are no comments, and this site is not selling links either. Being a stubborn bad boys, we keep searching for ways to get our link placed on that site. Sites like these have their own file storage places, and every such storage place has many mirrors all around the world. These mirrors were created on the servers of common men, webmasters, admins, just like all of us. Do you see what I am getting at?

So, let’s get to the business. Let’s pay a visit here first: http://www.opera.com/download/mirrors/reg/

Let’s fill out a small registration form. Everything is very simple so far. Very important – in the field Country indicate a country in which your server is located. For this example I am using Canada (I love Canada). Click “Register Mirror” button.

That’s it! After the successful registration of your mirror (it took me about 1 business day) you get the mirror configuration instructions in the email. Usually mirrors need a separate subdomain. For instance, if a site is located at www.mysite.com, the mirror will be at mirror.mysite.com. You could register a separate domain www.mirror.com just for the mirror as well. However, when I tried it, I have to admit, they start asking many extra nosy questions, so I avoid that route altogether. The less they know about us, the better they sleep.

They think it seems a bit strange that you are registering a domain and purchasing a server space just to create a mirror for their software. These confused boys don’t know that we are not mercenaries that are out to promote their software. We are here to find ways to promote and advance our resources and get some chocolate in the process (my favorite is milk chocolate, almonds and hot tea).

All of this being said, let’s not raise any red, blue, pink, or any other color flags and create mirrors on the subdomains.

For example, to create a mirror for Opera you will need:

1. Access to the server.
2. About 10GB of free space.
3. Installation of Rsync (this software syncs files).

All setup steps are so simple, that even the beginner admin shouldn’t have any questions. After you have created a mirror on your server, the link to your site immediately appears in the official list of the registered mirrors, which you can see by visiting http://www.opera.com/download/mirrors/list/

On the page you can see that my mirror is placed under Canada, just like it was entered during the registration. A huge plus here is that all links on this page lead to the main domains of the registered mirrors. This means the additional PageRank is transferred to our www.mysite.com domain.

Now, let’s look at the most important part of this post. Let’s take a newly created mirror and look at its footer. The best thing about apache HTTP mirrors is that they index by Google with the same level of intensity and speed as WordPress and other CMS sites, and you can place links from them as well!

Below are examples of mirrors on two more high Page Rank resources with links and constant and fully automated Page Rank transfer:

Backlink to the Apache mirror is located here: http//www.apache.org/mirrors/

Mozilla mirror. Address: http://mozilla.skazkaforyou.com/

Backlink to the Mozilla mirror is located here: http://www.mozilla.org/community/mirrors.html

This method is cool because while you gain Page Rank on your site the Page Rank of the source does not decrease with time and you don’t have to do anything else after the initial setup. It takes about 15 minutes to setup one site, and each one of them updates and syncs automatically with the master servers. All you have to do is make sure your server is up at all times, which you would do anyways for your sites. Today I have 18 sites like these, with the combined Page Rank over 100. This removes the need for XRumer or other type of spam tool. These mirrors are very good for jump starting doorways, as well as white hat websites – your choice.

All of the further activities come down to parsing as many software sites with file storage areas for which you could create a mirror. I recommend not to get stuck on the large boys like Opera. You can find a site with certain specialty and with a high Page Rank. Google is always there to help find anything and everything. For example, the “Download Mirrors” request immediately brings up results that will satisfy anyone on the spot:

Here is a small bonus list of the sources where you can place your link:

http://cran.r-project.org/mirrors.html

http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

http://www.modssl.org/source/mirror.html

Keep thinking, always move, never just sit there and wait, search and you will find it! Good luck!

  1. realy nice article ;) please we need more like this stuff to incrase traffic and page rank :)

  2. Hi Beck, I was wondering how much bandwidth I should expect to chew through by offering one of these mirrors? For ex. the Apache mirror is currently 28GB. I have a metered hosting plan so it is not really worth it to use 5TB for each mirror. But this did lead me to find a few high PR mirrors that I do not believe are downloaded very often.

    Thanks,
    Ritché

  3. Hi, yes you are right, it does vary with the source you use. I have not had bandwidth issues so far, since these fat Page Rank sites have their own powerful data centers with servers, as well as many mirrors like yours and mine. I would keep an eye on it if you have a limited plan. Like they always say about being safe than sorry.

  4. I run several mirrors. Sometimes traffic a huge, up to 500GB per day. It is worth it, when you have cheap server with unlimited 100mbit port. And don’t forget about uptime, cause they will remove your mirror when uptime is low.

  5. I see a dropdown field on Opera site where you register as a mirror. It asks to select the link speed and minimum is 100mbps. I was wondering if they require you to have minimum 100mbps link speed. If they don’t the download speed could be capped at a slower speed per mirror, so there is no way you chew up too much bandwidth during a month. Also it will not use up the entire link speed so you don’t risk to have your sites load slowly. Anybody did this? Does it work? Can they figure it out and if they do will they cancel the deal?

@mike: how many mirrors do you run? Is that 500GB/day for all mirrors or just one?

  6. It does work, and they will not figure it out easily. If they do and your account ends up canceled, move on to the next one. There are other sites just as useful as Opera’s.

  7. thanks !!!!!!!
