Link Spam with Hidden Redirect – Black Hat SEO Method
Link Spam with Hidden Redirect – Black Hat SEO Method
“There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance” - Socrates, 470 BC-399 BC.
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by. Since my recent post about Black Hat SEO method to getting links and traffic, I received emails with various questions about Black Hat SEO and strategies to make it all happen.
First I would like to say thanks for taking time to shoot me emails. Since most of the emails were about Black Hat SEO tactics such as link spam ideas, doorways, satellite building, cloaking, and so on, I decided to start investigating all of those cool guy tactics in various Black Hat SEO posts.
There are many bad boys out there that get involved with link spam art. It’s an ancient art that basically has two goals – getting search engines count links to increase PageRank and TrustRank and getting large number of Internet users to click on the link which gets them to the profit page. In this post we will focus on both of these link spam goals and will actually see how this sneaky idea works in real life. Sounds interesting? Keep reading.
After some time, all of those link spam artists realize that their creations (link spam), don’t stay alive too long and eventually get deleted by the moderators (they don’t like link spams very much). Once their babies get deleted, they spam new ones, they keep spamming and they keep getting deleted, again and again. It’s endless practice that 99% of all link spam artists practice daily, 8-5, Mon-Friday.
The information below is what the remaining 1% does, and it is only for observational purposes. Look and learn how not to do this:-)
First, these baddest boys create a fake tiny-url website which looks like a regular site, without any suspicious signs. See the sample below:
This funny tinyurl website is build for WordPress, so in order to try this we need a WordPress site. Once the WP site is on, install any theme and then this script:
Let’s take a closer look at what this simple php script plugin for WordPress does. The interface looks like this:
- IP – Your IP so you can test the spider/bot redirection.
- Active – Plugin active – yes or no.
- Update Settings – Save IP and Active settings.
- Post URL – This is the URL you promote on forums/social network site, etc.
- Human Redirection URL – The URL humans are redirected to.
- Spider Redirection URL – The URL spiders are redirected to.
- Save Human and Spider URLs – After setting the URLs where humans/spiders are redirected to, they can be saved by clicking this button.
To keep things simple, change the permalinks to the: /%postname%/.
Should be ready to use it now, so we will need to create almost empty or even empty posts with some short made up titles like these:
- i know who batman is
- carate championship
- people think i am hot
and so on, be creative and don’t hold yourself back.
Now let’s look deeper where and how this bad boy can be used. Spamming links to bookmarking sites, forums, social networks, and so on is considered a normal link spam art activity. When someone clicks on your spammed link (for example newprogrammingideas.com/chickentaco) this script plugin checks to see if this is human or bot. If it is a human, then it will send the user to a url of the profit page, and if it is a search engine robot, they go somewhere else.
Why do these link spam artists need this? (we don’t need this, since we don’t do stuff like this) This lets them easily implement this link spam tactic to link spam pages on many different hosts, including your parasite free blog hosts such as Hub pages, Squidoo, and so on. Only search engines will be redirected to these parasite webpages of yours, when people will be sent to a solid and decent Wikipedia page (for example).
Now, imagine using a powerful spamming software like xr_umer to link spam millions of links pointing to a harmless Wikipedia page, then waiting until everything settles down (usually 1-2 months) and changing the redirect for users to go to the sales page.
This php script plugin has useragent code to determine if it’s a search engine bot or a human. Since the script is very simple, a tiny knowledge of php should be enough to modify it where it will use IP redirect or any other redirect methods you know and like.
Good luck in your fight against link spam and Black Hat SEO.

Hi. Very interesting site. I found it on Google. I will definately recommend it to my friends. Please keep up the great work.
Great site! Keep it up!
Thank you!
i would like to know that, after adding this plugin, according to all the search engine bots, the wordpress site is same as the money site?
Yes, it can be any site.
My spouse and i still can’t quite assume that I could end up being one of those studying the important guidelines found on your blog. My family and I are truly thankful for your generosity and for presenting me potential to pursue my chosen career path. Appreciate your sharing the important information I obtained from your site.
On my view and experience, black hat method may give you good result and fast result too. But the site may not escape from the Google eye for long time. Soon the site will be penalized and it is really hard to get indexed in Google again. SO white hat SEO is the only way to have long lasting result.
