Pharma Doorways – Black Hat SEO Method

Hello everyone. How are you? I hope you are doing well. After the recent post about doorway trick I received many emails asking to elaborate a bit more about building pharma doorways. Hence, this post.

There are only few ways to get pharma traffic:

1. spam
2. SEO advance of the white hat pharmacy
3. doorways
4. satellites/splogs
5. convert of purchased traffic

Let’s take a closer look at each one of these approaches:

The first method is usually not very welcomed by pharma partner programs, this is why we are not going to look at it in this post.

The second method costs too much money and requires too much time on our part to get anywhere. Even if you are super white hat SEO Rambo, after months of hard work your pharmacy could be suspended by your hosting service due to one or two abuse letter complaints. Most of the time these complaints are results of your competition spamming via SOCKS using your pharmacy’s url. Which results in webmasters of the spammed forums, guestbooks, blogs to write complaints to your hostings service. In addition due to “targeted to fail” spam using your pharma shop url by the competitor, will result in a ban of your domain by Google and company. Remember, the competition is the most fierce in this niche.

Converting purchased traffic is profitable only when there is a substantial disposable capital. Also, you cannot just go and buy traffic for any pharmacy from Google AdWords – you will need a license to sell pharmaceuticals online. This license will be nearly impossible to get.

Satellites/splogs take time and efforts to develop, and they are also, similarly to the white hat SEO pharmacies, can be killed quickly.

What do we have left here is doorways. This is the quickest way to profit on traffic. Today we will talk about pharma doorways. Let’s first determine categories for doorways.

By Redirect:

- via redirect
- without redirect

By placement:

- on free hosts
- on your own host
- on profiles
- on hacked sites

By content:

- has SEO text
- collection of keywords

If we wanted to we can continue the classification process deeper, but I don’t see the need since the breakdown above captures the most of the information to get going. I prefer to focus on the creation of the modern sophisticated pharma doorways. Let’s look at what’s in SERP right now by searching for “buy viagra“. This is a dream search phrase for every creator of the pharma doorways.

In the SERP above, we are interested in doorways only (there are 4 of them here). Two of these pharma doorways are on the hacked sites:  http://tcls-boards.asu.edu/eboard24/viewtopic.php?p=352 and http://sgpa.org/pharma/index.php?page=buy-viagra.

And the other two are on the forums: http://blenderartists.org/forum/member.php?u=54155 and http://tcls-boards.asu.edu/eboard24/viewtopic.php?p=352.

By the time you read this post all of the 4 doorways are most likely going to be dead. The pharma doorway business targets a very dynamic SERP, which can change hourly due to the highest level of competition.

Let’s look at the most interesting of pharma doorways here:

1. http://blenderartists.org/forum/member.php?u=54155 – Right before publishing this post, this doorways was deleted first. We can conclude that this site is not very reliable, sinc the admins seem to be deleting pharma doorways via abuse letters or for no reason. Let’s look at how this profile was moved into the top SERP first. To do this we don’t need to parse its links, let’s just look via Google, and not via Yahoo, in order to determine the general tendencies. Looking at backlinks in Google (229), profile was randomly spammed, on chinese guestbooks, forums, blogs, and so on. Something important to remember here – in order to get into the top via high competition phrase like “buy viagra”, the size of the spam base should be no less than 100K successful and active links. The new entrants into the business of pharma doorways should only use this search phrase for analysis.

2. http://tcls-boards.asu.edu/eboard24/viewtopic.php?p=352 – this is not a profile, but a topic/post, created on the forum. Forum is located on the high-trust .edu site, which is why this pharma doorway came out in the top SERP. Backlinks are from similar guestbooks to the profile from above. Thus we quickly note that anyone can create unlimited amount of topics/posts on this forum for any other pills they want to sell, spam these posts really good, and perhaps get their own traffic.

3. http://sgpa.org/pharma/index.php?page=buy-viagra – pharma doorway created on a hacked site with high PR. We cannot see any backlinks here, since most likely this pharma doorway was optimized with links from frontpages of similar high-pr hacked sites. Let’s take a closer look at http://sgpa.org/, open it’s source code. As we have predicted – it’s packed with links to another pharma doorways. Note that this hidden div is located after the tag on the page.

After the analysis above we can make a conclusion: there are two main methods of optimizing pharma doorways – spam in large quantities (the more the better) and placing links from high-pr front pages of hacked sites. We could say this is the matter of “taste”.

I would like to focus on the first method. If you are interested in learning about the second method, you will need to learn SQL to the highest possible level, which means you will have a thorough understanding of SQL injections, which are generally speaking result in pharma doorways (and other types) on hacked sites.

Creating pharma doorways on free ftp hosts is meaningless, since this does not work anymore. This is why there are only two choices left, which is either own domains or profiles. Let’s look at profiles, since they don’t require time to buy and configure owned domain and hosting.

Why profiles get into the SERP Top?

- they are placed on sites trusted by Google
- they are without redirect

How to find these profiles? Very easy actually: search for “buy viagra“, “buy valium“, “buy xanax“, “buy levitra“, and so on. Even the average creator of pharma doorways understands that creating profiles based on these same keys is silly. It’s more efficient and better to create a doorway based on another pill or medication. Usually the best practices deployed here are 20-30 low-frequency keywords, or 3-6 medium-frequency keywords.

Also, the true masters of pharma doorways make the profiles look nice or clickable. These profiles stand out and invite you to click on them. Many times in order for the profile to become visible from outside, it’s necessary to make it public and enable the viewers to see it.

On average, this is the plan of action for a new artist of pharma doorways.

Or interesting and inviting text with active link to the selling or landing page on your pharma shop. For example something like this:

2. After the image, usually there is a blank space, which is about half of the page in most cases. Then there are many keywords, accurately placed in a column. These keywords are going to be spammed later on. If the forum permits, these keywords are tagged with <b> or <strong> tags.

Profile is ready to be advanced. If the plan is to spam the living soul out of this project, then usually this general format works best:

[url=profile address]key[/url] 2-3 keys [url=profile address]key[/url] 2-3 keys, and so on.

These 2-3 keys are usually taken from a random file, so that the spam is unique. For example, this is how it’s done in Xrumer:

#file_links[C:\file with keys.txt,1,S]

Also, the [url=profile address]key[/url] is best to be taken randomly in the same manner:

#file_links[C:\file with urls.txt,1,S].

Usually it’s not recommended to spam more than 20-40 links to the guestbook page. This is done to achieve the optimal indexing speed by the search engine bots. In addition, some times a guestbook might filter a larger spam-messages (50-60 links).

Usually spamming guestbooks is the method preferred by the professional creators of the pharma doorways. This is why:

• if the guestbook is high-trusted with PR, and the message is in the very top of the page, it will positively impact the profile. In comparison to forum and blog spam, this message will be lost among many others, and the search engine bot might just miss it altogether
• the speed of guestbook spam is much faster than spamming the forums and blogs
• forums and blogs are usually heavily guarded, which means hard to break, stronger captcha
• forums and blogs have moderators and admins, that will delete spam-topics and posts
• there is a good chance of receiving an abuse letter to your profile, from the spammed forum or a blog, which
• will result in immediate deletion of your profile

The usual work flow with profile pharma doorways is as follows: made it, spammed it, made it, spammed it, and so on. In other words, they don’t stop on one profile and focus fire, they keep making new ones and keep moving forward to different sites, studying which ones shoot out better in SERP in the process.

The only negative thing about profile pharma doorways, is that working with them is that it’s nearly impossible to receive a referrer, key, via which a person gets transferred to your pharma shop automatically. This happens since almost impossible to place javascript, which will capture the referrer and move it further (to your pharma shop).

Profile registration can be done by hand and automatically by using various software like Human Emulator. You can hire school kids from sites like weblancer.net who for 10 cents will register accounts and populate it with the content you need. One important thing to remember here is that the best way is to register profiles via proxy, since registering 100 accounts in 24 hours might seem suspicious to the forum administration, where you are registering profiles.
